Hi there;

New to forum; not Ducatis.

Been riding Ducatis for 6 years or so.

Recently upgraded from a 1098S to an 1199S and am looking to install a set of Woodcraft GP rears sets with the GP module.

To do so, it looks like the slave cylinder from the clutch must come out.

My question is: If I remove the 3 bolts securing it to the enginecase; will I have to bleed it?

My instinct tells me no. But I'm not 100% sure on this new platform (1199S)

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

FYI....Make sure you don't leave the the disconnected slave just hanging there for an extended period allowing the piston on the back to slowly open up. If it's going to take a while, wrap a zip tie around the slave from front to back. Remove the zip and bolt it back up as soon as you can.

Thanks - I have not gotten around installing them. Life and stuff seems to get in the way in the evenings.

And at this point Im not even sure I need the GP DQS since the Woodcraft CFM rearsets I got state they work with the OEM shifter...

But I have not found any substantial evidence of this other than their claim.

Calling them right now...

Ducati Panigale 899/1199/R GP Shift Adjustable Complete Rear Set Kit

Quote:

Our rearsets are machined from tough, aircraft grade 6061 T6 aluminum. We chose this material specifically because it provides the best combination of strength and durability. Other grades, such as 7075 generally tend to crack, instead of bend, when they are met with an impact. The use of 6061 allows our brackets to simply bend under stress instead of snapping off or cracking when they are crashed heavily. Rearsets made from 6061 can be often bent straight or even be welded (by a certified welder) whereas 7075 tends simply to crack or break and is much more difficult to weld.
Note: Replacement parts are available under the "Spare Parts" tab.
Moves footpegs Up 0-1" & Back 0-.5" with .25'' of eccentric adjustability
Note: Rearsets shown on motorcycle include the optional folding pedal tips

Works with the OEM quickshifter

Just in case anybody runs into the same dilema.

You can in fact use Woodcraft rearsets with OEM DQS.

No need to buy a $350 GP DQS module from Ducati.
