lets address the rumors since the others are done.

1 nearest to my heart stoner makes a full comeback. this will not happen. unless some insane amount of money is put in front of him he doesnt come back. also could he go to repsol if dani goes to yamaha?

2 crashlow to repsol. no way. guy has ruined every ride he has been on and has already failed on the rc213v. just because the paint job is different doesnt mean the bike is.

3 zarco to suzuki that would be interesting. does suzuki need a rider or possible 2? will alexis be out? will maverick be gone? i am guessing both stay put my opinion.

4 dani to yamaha. this makes sense from one point but doesnt from another. rossi would want danny. he doesnt say much is comfortable in his place as 2 rider and puts up a good defense for the number 1 guy. i dont think danny can win a championship although i would root for him.
on the other end of the coin would yamaha want to go with 2 guys that cant win a championship for 2 years? they already have the best bike why not get somebody competitive.

maverick is covered in post 3 and 4 rossi cant take a kid that will beat him and lin wont put the kid in that spot. so maverick stays and no room for zarco.

nice thread mike like it

Viñales talks MotoGP? future

One line Vinales shows who the other team is that is courting him..

“If I think easy, I check the list and see Yamaha first and second but then I start to think with my head, what I need and that changes everything. At the moment I’m between the two, it changes day by day. Everyday I’m more convinced to go with one team but it’s not enough.”

Rumor has it Suzuki is offering more $ than Yamaha, the kids not stupid he is going for the bucks.

Pedrosa as much as I like the guy. I hope he either retires or stays put at Honda. Yamaha needs new blood in the wings for when Rossi leaves not a 30+ year old rider.

Mavrick I think made a smart move. Stay put at Suzuki.

Crutchlow cool dude met him in the city of Indy. Honda factory bikes should be reserved to aliens. Speaking of aliens. Stoner is NEVER going back to Honda. Mark Crybaby Marquez would never allow it. And Stoner as he put it, is done with Honda and the bureaucracy. However his return to Ducati as a full time GP racer would be AMAZING and I would love to see him give Jorge a hard time. God that would be GREAT!!! Ok enough praying for now.

You forgot Smith and his move to KTM. Bad timing really he could have been the fill in for Jorge leaving Yamaha.

Put Rea on the GP M1 Yamaha that would be amazing or Chaz Davis on the GP Duc

Chaz is a Superbike rider. I hope he stays put in WSBK and doesn't make the mistake other top superbike riders make going to GP. Nicky is the only one who won a championship in recent years that I can think of and like him they all ride around in mediocrity. Colin Edwards probably would have won at least another 1 or 2 championships with Honda. I bet Toseland wishes he stayed. Crutchlow just crashes. Baz.....well..."grid filler." It actually seems like Ex-GP riders can come down to Superbike classes and dominate but not necessarily the other way around. Sans Melandri, Biaggi, Elias, etc...

Agreed, plus Chaz is FAR too big to be competitive in MotoGP. He is a good 6" or more taller than the average MotoGP rider (he's 6 feet tall) and around 50 lbs heavier (he weighs 165 lbs); no way can he be competitive, just based on those factors alone. let alone the aero disadvantage of his long limbs sticking out affecting top speed, etc.

I remember last year when Mat Mladin was asked in a FB group about the advice he gave Ben Spies when he was thinking of going GP. Spoke about the size/aero issues and very candidly said he told him not to do it for those very reasons.

Wow I didnt know he was that tall. I know Rossi is just a shade over 5'11 and is one of the tallest riders in GP but he looks like he weighs maybe 145.

I knew I had no future in GP500 LOL I was 6'2" 168 at the time. Now I am 215lbs and my duc is like who is this giant on me. HAHAHA!!!!

Loris Baz is the tallest at 6'2.

Great thread Mike!

I agree, why would Yamaha want Pedrosa? Not that he's bad cause he's not but that he's old. They need fresh meat for the future. If not Mav then I'm not sure who would be the best fit... do they gamble with Crazy Joe?

Chaz and Rea, I would rather they stay in SBK as there is some good racing between them there but who knows. Rea and Chaz to Yamaha and Ducati would be interesting...but yes Chaz is a giant in the land of MotoGP midgets.

If I was Suzuki I would be paying the big bucks to keep Mav and Aleix as they are the young future of MotoGP and are doing very well this season.

It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

Ok 2 new rumors about Ducati...

Jlo still comes and Dovi and Iannone stay along

Maverick comes with Jlo and Dovi stays Iannone gets the boot

I would have to agree that I hope Chaz stays in WSBK. I don't want to see him go to MotoGP. I think he has a legitimate shot at winning a WSBK title on the Duc.

Especially if his "team mate" gets his thumb out of his ... and starts taking some points off Rea without knocking Chaz down or tripping him up. I would like to see Mercado get the seat on that #2 bike, he seems to be able to haul ... all the way to the checkers.
