Hi,

For people that have a subscription for motogp.com, has anyone noticed the bad quality since they introduced the multi view interface? I havent paid for the upgrade so im just using the single view.

But there is no way of selecting 720P HD so the video looks SD and clicks and pops all the time.

Its not my internet as I watch Hulu, Netflix and Vudu in HD all the time.

Cheers

I found last night that the sound of the bikes was so loud that I could hardly hear the commentary.

The video quality was really bad. I ended up switching to free to air tv to watch it.

+1 don't mind some engine noise, but couldn't hear the comments ... they probably were raving on MM, as they have been for the last 2 years! :) :)

he is the next big thing but sometimes it seems they can't speak 2 sentences without mentioning him..

this said i'm a fan of his. but still like to keep some rational into it... :)

use the mixer

click on the mixer and you can control the volumns of both the ambient and commentary volumn

yep, noticed the bad vid quality - it comes and goes
yesterday's race was plagued with what look like internet freezes - the qatar race was smooth.
i will prob send in a complaint too.

Mine works fine, able to watch in 720p. No real issues. Could this be related to your Internet service provider?

I also notice that for multi view to work properly your interned needs to meet minimum speed criteria.

General disclaimer:
"* Please note that the viewing experience may vary depending on the internet connection, device and/or OS. If the user is experiencing problems viewing certain features on motogp.com on iPhone, iPad or other mobile devices we suggest using a computer/laptop"

From the FAQ section:

"The videos are jerky, jumpy or frozen
If you have a fast enough connection, then it will be due to a configuration on your computer.

Connection speeds required :

HD one video feed : 4 Mbps
HD multiscreen video feed : 12 Mbps

Please check that you do not have any firewall or router security that might cause blocks on the video or have any program open that might be using bandwidth during the live session.

Please also make sure that your line is not being relied on by any third parties and that there is no interference being caused by any device on your connection.

We suggest you close any other applications on your computer while viewing the video, and to try to view it with another browser."

As a friendly reminder, there is a dedicated racing section for threads like this one.

Exactly...People just need to play around with stuff and experiment. Although at first I was like wtf is this .......But yes the 'mixer' is what you need to look for located by the quality of video...I put the ambient all the way low and the commentary all the way up, once I leave the mixer I then turn the volume all the way up. Also some weeks the commentary sounds lower in volume but im sure that pertains to the track and how the equipment was set up/mic location to their mouths ect...And video quality is all up to your internet connectivity, when I was in the hotel it wasn't worth watching cause I could only see a few seconds at a time, now at my sisters place its perfectly fine!

Well its not my internet speed, I have 100Mbs plus Hulu/netflix steam with no issues, its just since the new multi screen interface started.
The last race was perfect.

They haven't replied to my email yet.

Sorry for starting this in the wrong thread.

Thread moved to Racing.

If you have a race-related discussion, especially if it not specific to the 1199, please post those threads in the Racing section and not the General Ducati 1199 section. Thank you.
