Thank you!
The last post "Don't know about yall... but I received a $60 bill from fed ex a few weeks after my order had been delivered... beyond irritated. Will never order from them again."
Yikes.

Yeah customs charges seem to be hit or miss. No real, answer there it depends on how hard the governments working that day honestly

Probably more a function of what state you live in. I see the poster of the referenced thread was in TN, which is very zealous about collecting sales taxes on internet purchases. I have gotten such bills before as well since I live there. Lots of shippers don't seem to report to the state, but FedEx does, and in TN you will likely get a bill on imported items; domestic shipments usually don't cause it. Also once got a bill from FedEx for a customs fee on a duty-free item, and they explained it as a processing fee for handling the customs documentation. So an additional handling fee from FedEx, not a tax or duty.

Good heads up Steve. I think we've talked about customs before lol. I usually just err to the side of I will get hit with a huge customs, processing, take my account fee lol.

That's where I bought my Lightech R rearsets and received the FedEx custom's letter with $0.00. I got a smoking deal compared to how much they sell for here. I thought U.S Customs went through it for inspection but it turns out that is how Lightech rolls. I would def buy from them again but they don't have much stuff for the 1199 that I was interested in.

However, among the letter from Motostorm, there was a Washington Declaration page which might affect clothing that contains leather.

I have found that ordering parts from Europe the past 2-3 months or so has been the best bet. The exchange rate has certainly been in our favor big time.

Order with a credit card and don't sweat it.

I even found the akrapovic last night for $3300 then he gave me an additional 7% coupon I could use.

Awesome, thanks guys! I don't plan to order leather, at least I don't think the Dainese Superspeed Textile doesn't contain any.
