Wasn't me , though I wish it was, did you give those tyres a workout on the way home?

yeah had a bit of a run, not enough to remove strips of chicken completely but a bit of pace. They felt good, steering was fine...actually suit the bike better than they do my R1, rock solid mid corner etc. Going to give them a run over glorious over the next two days and see what I think on familiar ground. So far I rate them on this bike.

Not me either.

I generally keep away from Mt Mee.
And since my 6 pointer nearly 3 years ago on Glorious, I've kept a low profile up there until I can get the points back in early November.

Brad, how did you go with the bike lift?
Sorry Ruley , I know this is off topic .

Hearing you there, I had to go to Court in Toogoolawah twice for an incident on the back of Glorious. Luckily they lowered it from 44 over and 8 points which would have been loss of licence to 39 over and 6 points and no loss of licence. I got my points back in Feb, but am very paranoid when riding up there these days

Not me either, I have been commuting on mine the last couple of days but not near Mt Mee, down the Peachester range which is fun but not long enough.
I had a good run over Mt Mee a couple of months back, unfortunately managed to scrape the Termis on one of the corners that fully loaded the suspension, Gavin at at Brisbane Motorcycles got them restrapped for me for very little coin, cant see where it was done now.

SEQ hills are one of those places you have to be familiar with the goings on of the plod, we ain't got much good road to choose from which makes it easier for them. Go for a run early morning or late arvo on weekends, expect cops in middle of the day, get to know where the cops like sitting, don't nail it when it opens up onto a straight.... and most of all communicate with other motorcyclists if you see a cop...This point seems to have fallen away a lot in modern times.

sorry...ranting a bit there, I like riding where I want and I ain't going to let the fuckers win!

Anyhow....bike lifts, who doesn't love a bike lift....have the full size from hare&forbes myself:D

You're a hoon:D

And that's why we need the laws to protect the rest of us from people just like you:eek:

Wasn't me either.... still haven't got my bike back :(

Mt Lindsay's about the only place round here now that the cops arent actively patrolling every weekend.... Too far out for them I guess.

Funny, was coming back Saturday from a few kms away any caught two highway patrol cars at the northern end of the fun bit...lucky I seen them from a bit bac....

I've never seen plod on the Bellthorpe Range Rd on the Sunny Coast, some very good sections but also narrow in spots, not the best but have ridden worse.

Cheers

Its with Arthur at Desmo HQ in Byron Bay getting the engine rebuilt. Getting it back next week.

Not a small project Lee, was it a problem with the engine or are you doing some mods?

Best of luck with it mate, I'll bet you're hanging to get back on it after a month of shop time.
