MV Agusta in trouble....

Those remarks about build quality, haha, my F4 at 5K miles didn't leave me stranded like my 1199. Build quality is very fine on the MV, with more detailing than the Duc. Sorry, but I have both and calling it like I see it.

Build quality on the old MV models were way above any comparable bike. Unfortunately, build quality went down with the redesign of the F4 and the remaining bikes due do cost saving measures in order to compete with other European/Japanese offerings.

Not saying that build quality isn't still acceptable, it is just that there is not that much difference between Ducati and MV anymore these days...

Dude ducati is not in the same league not even closet it, please go to your mv dealer and tell them to show you the attention to detail of the mv.

Attention to detail is a different thing than build quality... ;)

2010 brutal 1090rr with 4000 miles never visit the service department
2012 f4r 3000 never visit the service department.
2012 panigale 1800 miles more than 10 times at the service departmen for warranty work and you want to talk about build quality? tell me how many time your mv go the the dealer ?

attention to detail and build quality is like coffee and sugar.

sorry but that is not the case
pre 2010 mv were more exotic and more money $$$$ machine yes, but the build quality was lower. They have a lot problem with water pump, ecu, electrical problem.
post 2010 they are less exotic and more for the mass, the mv have some water pump problems, rear hub, ecu was fix in the brutalle, when the new corsa engine came in 2012 all the problems got fix,2013 the intruduce a new computer and problems arise again. the build quality are hight compare with the old ones.

There are very few concerns on the modern MV F4s compared with the 1199, that is fact. Hubs are redesigned on the last generation of F4. If you are talking F3 there are some issues specific to that new model. Just read the forums. I am not talking about non-essential stuff like quick shifter being off or battery defective, but more serious items. My '13 1199 had gear position sensor fail twice leaving bike unrideable, twice. The squirter leaked on it as well requiring hours of dismantling and repair. Here's the real kicker---> on my latest '15 R I just discovered coolant seep around the same area as the squirter- it only has 200 miles on it!. The Ducs keep failing for serious operational issues. My F4 has 6K miles now and not a single issue in over two years since new, even the Taiwan battery is still perfect! This is just my experience. YMMV. Any model needs bugs worked out, that is a given, but the attention to detail and continuous improvement of the F4 MV is all there. Not so much for the 1199. Don't be fooled by the modern look and big company backing- every company works on margins, but the boutique makers demonstrate more pride in their craft IMO.
