I started my bike today and it showed up Check Engine and the sound of the bike on idle was different from normal,

Exactly what indications were present? Was it the "Engine!" error flag that appears in a large rectangular box for several seconds when the bike is keyed "ON" before minimizing and moving to the left of the dash pad? Was it also accompanied by a CEL/EOBD indication? The engine started... but was the throttle inhibited? The "Engine!" error flag can represent nearly a dozen and a half separate faults. Do you have diagnostic software (MelcoDiag) so that the DTC's can be viewed?

It doesn’t accompanied by a CEL/EOBD indicator, I turn the key on and a green rectangular with wrench that shows -4300 pop ups then the “!Engine” Rectangular red shows up and it minimizes and moving to the left side of the dash pad.

That's unusual, as any displayed error is typically accompanied by an EOBD indication. Your best bet, in any event, would be to use diagnostic software to read any diagnostic trouble codes (DTC's) which may be present. You noted that the bike seems to be idling differently than before, so you may very well have a legitimate problem. Access to the codes will help identify the source. The green rectangle... obviously indicates an approaching service interval.

My Pani 1199S (2012) showed the same error last night as well. Will be taking it down to the mech to diagnose.

I replaced a faulty MAP sensor too, 2012 1199S, fixed my problem (wouldn't rev beyond 5K) and light went away!

Sorry I know this is an old post but what map sensor are you referring too. Does anyone have the part number. Just want to put in my notes if it happens to mine

There are two, one per cylinder--both located on the left side, under the side panel located just above the battery box if I'm not mistaken. Search MAP sensor for Ducati 1199, and you'll find a pic or 100. They are inexpensive to purchase, you can replace yourself with some patience. I did both to make sure my bike was good to go---I purchased it 6 months ago with 6k miles.
