Hello to you all,
Just put a deposit down on a black 1199 S. To be delivered in about 5 or 6 weeks. I'm like a kid on Christmas Eve. Cannot wait! Anyone got any idea of possible mods to increase the sexiness to "overload!!"?:D

Yes. Add some color to it. Never been a fan of black bikes. May look good but for safety reasons, theyre not that great. Plus a matte color is tricky to take care of. If anything, I'd throw some red wheels on it n give it the senna look.

Either way, congrats on the S and welcome.

Welcome and congrats on your new 1199! Personally, I love the matte black on Ducatis and think the color looks especially good on the Panigale. I would recommend a fender eliminator, the Ducati Performance carbon clutch cover and fuel cap for starters.

Be sure to post pics one she arrives!

Insurance

Will post the pics as soon as I get them. Can anyone recommend any insurers in the UK? Some horrendous quotes received on these 'comparison' websites.
Cheers:D

Anyone got any ideas about the the Akrapovic exhausts for the Panigale? Have they brought a decent model out? What about the power gains?

I have the matte black '14 and the Akra on it. I commonly get "It looks like the bike Batman would ride."

Haven't had it on a dyno yet but my butt dyno notices that the soft spot around 6k is gone and the bike is just much more smooth all around.

I think Jarelj was saying in another thread that the Akra system is virtually impossible to find right now, potentially as an indicator of things to come between Ducati/Akra.

flat black is the paint scheme i desire for my bike, hence my track fairings are painted that way.

you can have more brutal sound and also good performance modification through my soliciting a.k.a hint to my signature.

next best thing is a fender eliminator, according to your state laws of course :D

good bet is also to exchange the foot pegs, as the stock ones are quite slippery to some. no need to replace the full rearsets, although there's some major sexiness around. for this i would recommend checking the bellissimoto website (in terms of sexiness i mean)

welcome to the forum!

+1 pegs, as Phl stated.

Not a popular sexy option, but if you plan on riding it with any aggresion I'd recommend some tank grip. Pegs and Stomp grip were what made the bike night and day for me.

Thanks 'acowsik', pretty informative link. I think I'll wait until I see a definite winner between Termi's and Akropovic's. Hopefully in a couple of months.

'BTrain5489' - I read some where that there is already a relationship (business-type) between the Germans that now own Ducati & Akropovic. Maybe bring the price down in the UK a wee bit. Horrendous prices for Panigale systems. remember we pay approximately 1.6 times what they pay in the U.S. because of exchange rates (and greed!). I have heard the Termi's in action and the sound is better than stock (still love the stock sound though!).

Phl - I'll definitely take a look, but no promises! I live in the UK, so postage is a bummer (and import tax on luxuries!). Might work out cheaper though. We'll see.

With all the lovely add-ons my wife will be doing somersaults at the cost!!! I'll get that on the go-pro too! Hahaha! Thanks for all your info guys. Any other news, hints, tips or tricks are all gladly received. Due to my job I sometimes can't reply too quickly though. Please bear with me on that.

Cheers

gman74 - Yup! I think that'll definitely be one of my first add-ons (or velcro!) as many posts here have been saying. Must look tonight. Will wait and see how I go with regards to the tank grips though. Cheers
