The
Pani is going in for 1st year service ( 2200m ) in a week or so and I'm torn between two mods, would really like some honest feedback. I ride on sunny weekends on fast roads with the " odd " trackday thrown in " SPA " and the ring again this year, these are my thoughts

1, Termi slip ons

or

2, chain a sprocket change to 15 / 41 or 14 / 39, new chain and carrier etc...

what really is gonna give me bang for buck, std pipes are nice sounding so its not just about noise....

thoughts from the collective.?

Cheers

No brainer - the sprocket change. As you said, the sound is already awesome. The slips sound is almost identical (I couldn't tell a diff at idle and reving side by side. And one dyno showed poorer performance.

As for spocket choices, several have done the 14/39 (me included), and it really perks the bike up lo-mid (like it need it :) ), but I would go with the 15/41 as that is what DNA is recommending. So only $400, and huge weight savings, more important saving here than just sprung weight (Termis).

why do you suggest 15/41 when you have done 14/39..?...curious like...did you change the ride height and chain.?

I bought the whole kit, so yes, chain too. I did not make a ride height adjustment. I said the 15/41 just because Ducati recommened it when they sent the letter out about the non-existent heat problem. The final ratio is close to the 14/39, only a hair lower. And some would say less stress on the chain, but 14 has been used for years by tons of riders/racers.

I'm going the poor man's route for now, 14 up front for as long as the OEM chain and rear sprocket hold up. When I'll be in for replacements the 41 might be a good idea.
