Hello:

I'm discussing w a member on this forum re buying his OEM rotors front and rear. I know I need bolts. I like the OEM rotors/pads because my 1299S will lift the rear wheel off the ground when I really get on the brakes. I can't imagine more braking power unless you slam into a wall. Regardless, I bought a new set of spare rims. I want to add OEM rotors. I know I need bolts for the rotors but is there anything else I'm overlooking. At the race track, I want to be able to pull the wheels and put the other set on w/o swapping bolts, spacers, sensor or whatever. Is there a sensor or anything else I need to be aware of? Should I get aftermarket bolts? If so, where from and what size? I know this thread sounds very basic but I've never owned a Ducati before this and you guys are an invaluable source of information and knowledge and I'm drop dead serious with that statement. If you have any words of wisdom or advice, please share. I've already sent a PM to Leon L-Juice for his input. Again, much appreciated. Ride/race on! Peace. highside49

You can buy some nice Ti ones from Proti. They sell the front rotor bolts in a set. Gold, Silver or Blue. I have some nice Gold ones for the bit of bling. You will need the sensor for the front wheel as it is held on by the rotor bolts on the left side. I think its called a phonic wheel. On the back the disc stays on the bike when you take the wheel off so no need to buy a rear disc.
