New 950 base model vs 2014 SP

Hi I’m new to the forum and the world of Ducati ownership . I have several motorcycles but am very excited about getting my Hypermotard ... I have an interesting question and would appreciate some feedback ....
My choices are a nice very clean 2014 Hypermotard SP with 10k miles . Or a brand new base model . Got a chance at a very good deal on a new one for about the same price as the used SP. Really want the SP but brand new sure is hard to pass up especially when talking about the same price . Any feedback would be appreciated .....

In that case I'd personally go new - you'll get the warranty, plus being the first owner you can be certain of what kind of treatment its had. Also, buying second hand with that milage brings you closer to the costly Desmo service which you could avoid and put the money towards whatever mods (exhaust, suspension, carbon fibre etc) you might like on the new bike.

Once you have your heart set on which model you want its just a matter of waiting for the right one to appear (new or used). Good luck

look at what my local dealership gives you for buying a brand new Ducati... pickup a leftover and you’ll get all that along with a killer sale price too

I know, and I do a lot of street riding so I’m sure I’ll use it for all it’s worth.. plus keeping miles off the 1299. Then when the 2024 models come out I can trade in for a new 1 and take advantage off all that new bike ownership has to offer.
Old bike ownership can be a headache when things are acting up
