New BMW helmet concept

what kept me a BMW loyalist for a decade was technology. I love it, and BMW tends to lead the way in that department.

When Ducati started competing eye for eye on the tech front with their bikes, that's when I felt I could move over to the bikes I'd dreamed of owning.
 
This looks like its ready to stomp all over the Skully. I'd go for this.

I've looked at the Skully AR-1 and couldn't help but feel it looked big and the HUD a little lacking. This looks much more purposeful and with the finacial backing plus engineering/R&D know how it looks well put together.

I'm not putting the Skully down, but my money would be with BMW mainly because of supply, aftermarket care, warranty etc. with a dealers down the road from me.
 
Looks like Skully will have a run for it's money. Interesting to see if BMW will extend use to beyond it's own bikes or someone like Schuberth produce a similar system. At present only Aprilia provide telemetry from the bike to the Skully, but I would expect Ducati will in future permit it, something I know Skully are in discussions with them about. I like the feature on the BMW system where it updates your destination on the fly. That would be useful in certain scenarios.
 
I saw a picture of front view and it looks very very big.

.... that wore it must have been a size SM head but looked like XL helmet....

Also "looked" very heavy.

I hope they can make it normal size.

BMW has only recently started making bikes worth talking about while all the Ducatis ever made by Ducati were worth talking about? Ducatis were always technologically ahead of BMW's bikes as well so you are losing me here. :eek:
 
They sure are Mutt . This ones currently being developed . I hear it's being tested at the moment . I wonder how much it will be ?
