New CF bits...

...Not really.

I stumbled across an extra roll of CF look vinyl wrap I had stashed away in a box. Then I stumbled across my heat gun (I do a lot of stumbling on my days off). One thing led to another and this happened...

Will it hold up? Doubt it. Does it look better? Meh Why did I do it? 'cause I can.

the exhaust wrap may end up catching fire....

And bats might fly out my ... but things have to happen first for that to happen... Same with the vinyl. It will show signs that the heat is taking its toll first. So far after my hour long commute in rush-hour traffic (Wash D.C. at its best) no signs of heat damage. If it does start to show that the heat is taking its toll then it comes off. Simple and I don't loose any sleep over it... Unlike those bats.

Looks good.

I just installed the DP Carbon Heat Shields, they make a visual statement (the way they should come).

i'd worry more about how ur gonna screw after ur member not so spontaneously combusts from the faux carbon lol

u can always put some of that carbon on ur cck tho . .. ; . .

When I had the shields off I was thinking that it actually looked kinda cool but the damn brackets detract from it too much. Wrapping the shield was way less effort than getting those brackets off and much easier to fix should I change my mind.
