New Ducati owner from South Africa

I am fortunate enough to be the proud new owner of a Ducati 1299 Panigale S.
I am looking forward to have many happy miles on it and to share my experience with the forum.

Welcome and my sympathy. Tobie Venter and Ducati South Africa has turned me away from Ducati for ever. My 2012 Ducati Panigale 1199 S Tricolore (bought brand new by me in 2012) will be the last one ever. I bought it when Ducati was still Ducati in South Africa, which under his take over it no longer is. He has or tried to disenfranchise Mr Ducati South Africa Dave Frisoli of Ducati Edenvale, had other independent Ducati dealers close their doors (I lost my service plan and warrantee when Ducati Sandton closed its doors whereas the honourable thing would have been for Ducati South Africa to take it over) and damaged the business of Ultimate Performance in Centurion which had invested a considerable amount of money in the brand.

Before you start buying "goodies" for your new baby, I suggest you ask the other members on this forum what experiences, if any, they've had with the product you want to purchase. Lots of riders / owners down here in Cape Town.

Yep Tobie, has not done the brand any good, but he seems to have sorted out the Porsche thing locally.
Ducati have been promising me they will open an office in CT since delivering my bike some 8 months ago? .... Was it better when Justin had the franchise under Daytona? Because back then when they were in the V&A you had to beg them to sell you a bike.
