Welcome, Jean! I'd be interested to know what your impressions are of the 899 thus far, particularly in comparison to the SF848. If doing street riding, do you feel the 899 has tolerable street manners? What are your thought on the differences in power delivery and braking between the two?
My point of view is the 899 is easier to ride than the SF848. Yes, really!
The 899 frame is really really easier to handle, the driver position is more comfortable (the seat is lower than on the SF848). I didn't feel difference in braking power on open road, except that ABS is reassuring during typically fall weather. Concerning engine power, the SF was more bad-tempered, but it was so good!!! The 899 engine is more efficient than characterial.
I guess my english level is good enough to be clear...
