Hey everyone: New guy here from JAX, FL. I've been riding since 1986 and have had some number (lost count) of bikes over the years. I've had sport bikes, cruisers (lots of HD bikes) but this is my first Ducati. I've been looking for a sport bike that fits me (I am a man of a certain age) and I tried the BMW and then the Ducati. I really did not consider a Japanese bike as I've had those and wanted something with a bit more quality. Thus far, I am very happy with the bike and I am getting used to moving between the Panigale and the HD cruisers - very different bikes.

I am also getting into moto vlogging again (did it a few years ago) and I enjoy making the videos and then the editing. I recently started a new clean/fresh channel on YouTube (link is in the sig). I'd welcome any comments. I've not yet Vlogged on the Ducati as I need my full attention on the bike at the moment.

Anyway - that is me. Thanks to the sysops for the forum and I look forward to interacting.

I'm a new one too! Sorta, just relocated to Jax from NC. Welcome to the forum oiDirk.

hi Dirk,

welcome to the forum!

Phil

Also, please explain WTH this is too if you would? Am not familiar with the term unless you mean "flogging?"
Be sure to break the new bike in HARD HARD HARD my man! Don't baby it as it will only cause issues down the road for you. Of course this is just MY personal opinion which you will find many other ones on here by doing a SEARCH. :)))

LOL - Moto Flogging - LOL sounds like and S&M game involving motorcycles! :p
Actually moto-vlogging is creating a blog, but making it a video instead of written text. Then create the vlog while riding a motorcycle and you come out with a moto-vlog. Check the link in my sig for my first few vlogs. Also, I think the best in the Biz is Chaseon2Wheels, just search YouTube and you will find him.

On break-in - yup - that is almost a religious topic. I've had quite a few new bikes and gone through a lot of 1000 mile break in periods (hate them). I tend to just ride the bike like I normally would. I've never had any longevity issues, but then again, I tend not to keep bikes past a few years.

I gotta get out for some bike nights that are actually fun. I've been to some HOG related bike nights but did not really enjoy them. Too many vests, patches and general HD gear.
