There's a good thread that was made a sticky with good info on suspension setup. A lot may be focused on the dynamic from the 1299s, but good sag suggestions.

If there is Any advice I can give you, its this...

Don't trust old threads which might have dated information.. Do not use the Search function at all and almost always start a new thread with whatever is going on with your bike..

good luck

welcome to the forum and congrats on the R!

yeah, there are about 3 threads on suspension...

enjoy!

This is my setting done by a shop, I know were all different but Im 6 ft 1 and 105KG

Quick question as I am about to take possession of a new '15 R as well... Do mirror blockoffs come with it? What other accessories come with it if any?

Thanks and congrats!

Yes, the R comes with mirror block off plates. It also comes with a Lithium ion battery charger and lots 'o carbonium!!!

Yes, it may take off on you when you twist the throttle in gear. Also, it's an 1199, not a 1299.

hey, just to confirm - your rear heat shield looks like the regular 1299 heat shield, except that it's carbon fiber, yes?

also, no metal shield underneath?

I sure as hell hope so - I ordered a '15 Panigale R heat shield for $370 - $300 more than the 1299 shield. If it ain't carbon, I'm gonna have a cow!

Just watch for oil consumption for the first 1000ish miles as the rings seat. Since it only has two ring pistons the consumption is a bit higher than normal. Mine hasn't used any oil since the 1500 mile mark.
