Hi all,
New member here from Toronto. I have ridden the 1199 once for 30 min. And looking to learn more about it here. Maybe pick one up in the near future!

Just purchased a 2013 Tricolore last month from GP bikes...

Let me know when you get your ride, and perhaps IL Mostro , myself and any one else from the GTA could meet up...

Hey! Nice to see you here. We're both on the S1000RR forum and own HP4's. I purchased a Panigale R a few weeks ago and I love it! You should get one too.

Lol, no prob!! I wish! The R might be out of my toy budget. Just looking for a base or maybe an S.

Yes, I remember your videos. Going to be busy with the track bike project and keeping an eye out for a garage queen 1199!

I picked up my HP4 on Dec 4 last year. I think I was the first person to take delivery in Canada! Maybe second in NA. (According to the s1000RR forum) put just over 13k km on it. Absolutely love it!! It will probably be a bike I will never sell.

I test rode the 1199 a few months before I bought the HP4. Also loved it. There is a different feeling when on the 1199. Not sure if it is the twin, the sound, the vibrations. I didn't seem to have the need to go fast on it, even though I obviously could. At the time, value for money, the HP4 wins no contest! I have never owned a twin. So not sure yet if I can live with that type of engine. Always loved the RC51. Love the torque of the engine. And no contest, the 1199 is a much more sexier bike!

Now I am ready to get the 1199 as a second bike and see if I get one for a deal. It doesn't not have to be the best of the best! The R IS BEAUTIFUL! but not in my budget. Seen some on this site under $13k. That is more my budget.
 
GP Bikesin Whitby has a sale on plus up to $1200 in Ducati accessories. Not sure if it is still on but you should check it out. I got mine at the end of Sep.

That's exactly what I did also for my TRI, bought it from GP 2 days before that Ducati promotion ended
