Last week I bought a leftover 2012 Base Pani w/o ABS. It was $16,300 plus FL county tax and tag, no setup, freight or dealer fees at Melillimoto Ducati in Ocala FL. I wanted the base model as I'm a bit old school and figure the 1st-Gen DES will not be as good as it will be after a few years of refinements. Besides, with the mods I have planned, the bike already starts out around 10 pounds lighter without ABS and DES.
Been riding street/track since 1989 (and never needed ABS in thousands of street/track miles), and most recently owned an MV Agusta F4 1000R, Buell 1125R and just sold the Crossplane-crank R1 to get the Pani.

Here's the new Pani yesterday with only 129 miles on the odo, trying to keep her under 7,500 until she's good and broken in.

S-Wheels (already have but may get OZ Piega wheels)
Termi Slip-ons (already have but may get Termi headers also)

Speedymoto front axle slider
XPEL Ultimate 3/4 Paint Protection Film Application
Evotech Radiator + Oil Cooler Guards (holed an MV radiator - not cheap!)
41T rear sprocket and quick-change carrier
R&G Tank and Tail Section Sliders
