I just found this episode on Instagram don't know if it's a bike from a member here but is definitely scary.

AKRAPOVIC system vibration and loose bolts not being safety wired or loctite.

I just found this post on Instagram so I hope this helps some of the new members with their 1299 FE edition with AKRAPOVIC exhaust system.

I don't pretend to crear a problem my writing is just for safety reasons.

Wow, that sucks. You can hear him hiding his frustration big time.

All of the Akrapovic's that I've had all had the bung safety wired. I would think that the dealership would have caught that during their PDI. I'm going to assume the dealership will replace everything under warranty.

I'm a little perplexed by this. Is the Akra system on the FE not a full system? Other than the O2 lambda sensors on my full system there are no bungs present. Starnge that only one of them is lockwired. At least its a good excuse to remove the charcoal canister.

Lol,

It appears he's okay, he didn't crash or have the bike catch on fire. Sometimes people make mistakes when they build things. Take it back to the dealer and kindly ask them to fix it. I'm sure the dealer will be more than willing to help.

Someone is clearly problem oriented and not so much solution oriented. :D

Call the dealer, have it fixed and leave the f@$&ing lawyers out of it dude.
Oh America, god bless the lawyers.

its not a full system what full system do you know have cats in them. you cant get slips and the full system is going to be very expensive.

It’s a full ti system but it’s all euro 4 and technically a stock pipe.

its a ti factory system. its not a race system it has all the cats and restriction in it. see the big things at the bottom where on the 1199 and 1299 the cans would be. those are the cats.

No ...., I never said it was a race system did I? I said it was a titanium stock system that was euro 4. None of that means it's a race pipe. Also, since i have a FE and you don't I know exactly what's on it and how restrictive it is. See the big things at the bottom, yes every time I look at my bike. You own one Panigale and think you're an expert.

Race system full system same thing to me. i was answering tops question. its not a full system. its a stock system thats ti, so the buyer pays more for ti and gets screwed cause there are no weigh savings cause the cats are still there. a full system or race system does not have cats but if you want to feel good about buying a full cat system thats ti go right ahead. another gimmick by akra and ducati to get people to pay more for less. should have had the regular system on it with option to buy a real full system.

ask yourself this would you buy a full akra evo system with the cats no you wouldnt cause its not a full system it would be the stock system.

Yes, my biggest irritation just now that's putting me off new bikes. I can understand why it's done due to regulations but I dont want to waste thousands of pounds on a lump of metal I dont want, and then another massive amount on the race system. If Ducati offer a non road registered V4 next year I would be seriously interested. As far as I know you currently have to buy the normal road 1199R like I have and then spend out on the Ducati superstock kit to get it race ready so I'm not too optimistic.

totally my point. a useless system that nobody will buy once you take it off

The stock FE exhaust melted the fairing and the charcoal canister bracket on mine too. Ducati fixed everything and added some xtra heat shielding inside the new fairing.

NESBA53 "I know the feeling! Looking forward to seeing/hearing that! My oem Akrapovic was nice enough to drop a bung plug and melt quite a few things. Great timing"

Apparently this person had the same issue too. This post was in the redline discussion under mechanical and technical section

It's the same person...

Yup that was me. Just wanted others to know, try to avoid it. Screw it all anyway, building the finest FE this earth has ever seen.
