Finally ordered my Bitubo XXF61 shock today. Many thanks to Gunny Fitz for hooking me up with Bellissimoto.

Congrats! You'll love it. I love mine. Super smooth. I had an Ohlins TTX Mk2 on my last track bike and The XXF61 is every bit as good and has a bit more adjustability too.

Only problem is now you'll have to get the ECH-29 Nitrogen fork cartridges to match! Those are even better than the Ohlins FGRT forks with superbike valves that matched the shock...

I'm going to start with Race Tech gold valves in the front for now. I'm confident that the Marzocchi's will perform well with custom valving. If not, the ECH-29s will go in.

I read that in your other thread. Sounds very cool. If this option would have been available I might have tried it, although the seemingly common failure rate of the 2012 OEM Marzocchi cartridges was a bit too disconcerting for me. That said, I was quite happy with the OEM forks, but the "high-definition" feel of top-of-the-range suspension is definitely another level over OEM.

Looking forward to your full review and comparison.

Mine is a 2013. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I will have no issues with the Marzocchi cartridges. It sure would be simpler dropping Bitubo cartridges in but I'm going to try the $170 (Race Tech) option first; before the $1800 Bitubo option.

For sure a no-brainer price wise, but if you ever pull the trigger Gunny and Bellissimoto can do better than what you just quoted ;)
