Hey all,

Just wanted to introduce myself. Name is Dan, been riding for almost 20 years(Gawd I'm gettin old..) Finally picked up my first Ducati, a leftover 2012 1199S. Fell in love with it instantly! Still trying to figure out what my best option is for tuning this beast since the ECU is locked. Any suggestions? My very good friend is a VERY reputable dyno guy and I'd like for him to clean up the stock map if possible. Thanks!

Welcome!!!!!! It is a love affair and you will look for every opportunity to take her for a blast!!!! Termi slip ons and up map for a start unleashes a totally different bike, many swear by the tune boy setup, however I have left it as exceptionally happy with my bike ATM.

Congrat's CtRc51 on your new purchase. you will njoy your baby 2 the fullest. Take care of her and she will take care of you.

Born and raised in CT and spent many years doing Marcus Dairy on Sunday mornings! Welcome and congrats. Lemme know if I can help you out with anything for the bike. Many here can affirm on this. Matter of fact you have one of my best friends and Ducati custom painter right there in Beacon Falls.

Stay safe man!

You may not know it yet but you just bought about as much fun as any guy can handle!:D
Congrats!

Oh how I miss Marcus! Now it's a Whole Foods and Panera Bread. :( Speaking of painting, I saw a Senna replica and thought it looked amazing. That might be on the list. But first up will be an exhaust and more than likely the AR Rapidbike.

Oh, indeed! Not sure if it'll make it to the track this year, but it's definitely going. Then I can REALLY stretch her legs!

You may want to read up on the whole AR and rapidbike thing. Not sure but I dont think anyone in the US had good results with the Rapidbike.

And welcome fellow CT comrade :)

Sound words of wisdom. I am admittedly a bit hesitant about any flash or piggy back system with our Mitsubishi ECU. There just doesn't seem to be much tunability aside from loading a premade map. But being good friends with my Dyno guy, I've learned that 10 identical bikes with identical parts can have 10 different maps to get them all straightened out. So back to the interwebs and more research!

I miss the Dairy too!!:(
Saturday nights with the cars and Sunday morning bikes.
Surprised no one has tried to pull those crowds elsewhere.

Hey CTRc51, is your friend the guy that used to Dyno and tune bikes at Cliffs?
If so, he has dyno'd a bike for me in the past. Very professional and straight forward. If he's still in that area (Danbury/Brookfield), I'd like to stop back in in the future with some friends. All Ducs...

Yes sir. That would be John of Dyno Solutions Dyno Solutions - Home He is located behind Max BMW in Brookfield(formerly Cliffs Cycle Revolution) Even before I became friends with him he has always been an outstanding guy, very knowledgeable, super friendly and always willing to help. And he does some great tuning! So yea, it wasnt my intention to do a shameless plug but he knows his stuff. And he did have an 1198S as his personal track bike. If you go tell him Dan sent you. He will be certain to bust my balls and tell embarrassing stories about me. So you will not only get a great tune you will be entertained haha
