Hi,

I'm reading the manual and found out how to change riding modes. However, I'm still reading and trying, but have not found out how to select a menu item (i.e. DTC, ABS, DWC, etc.). Can anyone give me a hint, please?

Thank you!

Sorry - I have a 2017 Panigale 1299 S

Lol,

This board can be quite harsh towards such basic questions like this. Are you sure you want to ask this question.?

Yes - I really can't figure out how to access the settings behind Race, Sport, and Wet. I don't know what else to do. I suspect that if it's that simple, it should jump right off of the owner's manual page, but I'm reading every word and haven't found it yet!

Oh boy!

Push the grey button with your left thumb, hold the grey button to activate the mode you want.

Flame on!

Is this your first motorcycle?

Never mind!!! I just figured it out! Button 3 down and presto - the settings menu appeared! Thanks for your thoughts!

No - it's not my first bike! About 40 years ago and for 4 years I road raced a 650 Kawasaki out west that I built into a real rocket (for 1980 - I bought it in 1976.) I probably had a half dozen or so before it. First one came when I was 13. I stopped riding in the early 80s and came back about 3 years ago. Totally different kind of bikes now! I'm 62 now. After retiring from flying airplanes, I'm heading back to the track with my 1299S and my ZX10R. I've had the 1299S for a few days and am just barely getting to know it. I had the mode change figured out a couple of days ago.

I was just messing with you.

And you kinda are new to motorcycles, ones with technology that is. Have fun on the new bike!

Ha! Not a problem! Most of the forums and folks are like their bikes - out to have fun... I know I am! And you're exactly right - my first new "today's technology" was an Aprilia Tuono... a computer ran everything! I could hardly imagine, but I like computers a lot, too. Computers are running so much these days... my next bike was an Aprilia RSV4 with, dare I say, an even more capable computer, then the 1299 S, which has a bit more than the Aprilias! It's obvious where this is going, so we may as well learn those links, too! Take care and thanks!

It can be a ...... I read the manual many times to figure it out. Then a year later I read it again to figure it out.

I downloaded the 1299's owners manual in PDF form into my iPhone book folder. Makes it simple to find things.
