I am getting ready to pull the trigger on NIX30/ttxmkII suspension for my Pani. I just have some questions for those who have done the install before.

1. They installation instructions talk about removing the cartridge from the cylinder tube, installing the cylinder tube, adding the oil, then installing the cartridge back into the cylinder tube and bleeding. I am having difficulty finding the tool used to install the cartridge back into the tube, does anyone know where to get one? or have ideas on a work around? Perhaps this will be more obvious once I have the cartridges and take a closer look the Marzocchis.

2. I think Jarel can help with this one, looking at you picture in this post. Are those plugs that replace the compression clickers.

Other than that everything seems pretty straight forward.

How much do you save to do yourself? I paid a fair price to Chad at commonwealth to do mine. Comes with his personal guarantee that he has done many and stands behind the work.

I would avoid a DIY project on the forks unless you have all the tools and some experience. It can turn into a real headache. The shock is easy.

I was looking in DIY on the Nix30 forks as well. Needs a few special Ohlins tools, not worth it, had Catalyst Reaction drop in the cartridge. I did the rear shock myself, took 15 min.

On the Marzocchi, make sure the rebound is fully turned in before releasing the fork caps. Conventional forks, you would fully turn out before dissemble, not these suckers.
