I asked the Ohlins techs about it in Austin.. They had no idea the forks no longer had reservoirs.

Most likely they are internal. Maybe they had to retain the stock style fork? Maybe it's preference.

Same thing on the Hondas, no external gas reservoir in wsbk. Prob using gas cartridges?

Im assuming no gas reservoir means some unsprung weight saved?

Also maybe ducati trying to kill the new marketing hype on the new zx10 and gsxr with their showa BFF forks with that cute gas reservoir. Like setting a retro trend, hoping the gas reservoir look become less popular? :)

Haha yes.. First thing you do anyways when you get that bike is to chuck out those Showa internals! [emoji106] replace with fgr or dds inserts

in 2018 what they sell is what they run.. So if they won't put the canisters on the sale bike they cant have it.. Kawi has them on the ZX10R so they can run them. That means Ducati will not have them on the bike for sale..

Me too. The "Mid-pipe" design of the Akra exhaust seems very effective. The Panigale R isn't down on power compared to the ZX-10 this season. More Ducati wins and podiums, yeah!

liking that akra exhaust...
