WTF?? I actually made good friends with a guy there over the years who hooked me and buddies up with great rates on our bikes! This is not good news!

This is actually good news. It means Ducati (a subsidiary of VW/Audi) is keeping the interest money in house so its overall profitability is higher, and the company will have access to better terms if it chooses to offer them (like VW does several times each year.

Freedom Road is not the best financial service provider available.
even better when within the group now. especially for expats like me.

No problems here with the switch. My limited experience with Freedom Road is that they're a good company to deal with. But no real attachment.
If this switch means that financing will become easier/more flexible then I'm all for it.
And now if only Ducati were to make a real Sport-tourer (No, Multi's don't count), I'd consider trading my Triumph in and taking 'em up on any special offers.
