Not looking to good for the H2

Probably the wrong section but the '15 S1000RR is wicked fast, although it's kind of ugly, but the Kawasaki is even more ugly

It's in perfect section, because MCN clearly states that 1299 is faster than s1000rr and has more horsepower at the rear wheel in the 2015 superbike shoot out

The guy riding the H2 weighs 220lbs. The guy riding the S1000RR is 150lbs.
That's a massive difference.

But yeah the H2 is a bit on the heavy side forsure.

Oh look. 11 feet of highway.

Results aren't conclusive. 1st run h2 newb screwed up, 2nd run looked even enough. In those type of videos, with out any surefire way to get and equal start, if one bike doesn't completely destroy the other by 40 yards or more, it's meaningless.

There's at least 20 yards worth of error in these vids. Take it to the track to see what's up.

I can tell you for sure 100%, that this has everything to do with the riders than the bikes.

I've had a S1000RR for the past 4 years, fast as hell and fun.

My brother just got a H2 & I finally got some descent seat time on it last weekend.

In a straight line, even with a heavy rider, no way a S1000RR keeps up with an H2.

No way.... Not a chance, that is the most RIDICULOUS over-powered bike I have ever been on.

Straight line speed, no rider mis-inputs, H2 will blows a S1000RR, Panigale, any litter bike.

In the turns, not so much. It's definitely not a great track bike, because of the weight and the throttle.

The throttle is DAMN twitching and it's a tank & it will take some seat time to get use to how to modulate the throttle, but DAMN that thing is FAST.

Amazing bike. Not for me, but no way this video is accurate.

Believe the H2 (not the H2R) is only making 200-210 rwhp, so with the weight difference, the 2015 S1000RR would be right there until you get past 100

The H2 rider is 650ib and he weighs 245 lbs vs the 150 lb rider. The bike was just flashed and it was his first time out. He is attempting to ride the bike with the TC to 0. Unfortunately, it is very crazy to control and takes some time to learn.. The 2nd pull is a better run but he is going to need some time to learn to ride it.. He did a few more pulls again right after the BMW against a fast 2011' ZX10 that has a rebuilt engine dynoed at 215 wrhp. He had same problem with front end control but pulls him at higher speeds. 650ib is a good rider and owns the Pani R and the HP4.

I recently picked up my H2 last week and only put about 105 miles on it so far. The H2 pulls right away at 4000 rpms and the throttle is challenging to control since the factory has it set up with a little play. It is too soon to say if the bike is hype or not but my butt dyno feels the bike pulls much harder straight from 4000 rpms and up vs the Pani and BMW with a smaller 3-4000 rpm power range .. There is instant power at delivery in every gear which is challenging to get used to. The restricted ECU and 40 lb exhaust and cat is very limiting to this bike. The throttle bodies shut down to 30% near 10,700-11,000. The guhls flash or new brocks flash will open it to 13,800 and provide it another 30-45 rwhp (depending on the dyno per several videos from Guhls). 650ib had Guhls flash the ecu and replaced exhaust to provide 245 whp (not sure if this is a optimistic dyno.. The video's out there so far are all 240+ lb guys attempting to compete against 170 lb or less weighted riders.. No matter what they do to this bike, laws of physics will always be against the big boys with wind drag!!

This is a great street bike and does corner well but a completely different bike than our liter bikes. Once I have 600 miles on the it, I will dyno it before and after the ECU flash and share the results... :)

I'm sure it's a total gas on the freeway but I don't know where else you could really use it. Be prepared to run from the cops or get a good attorney. The 1299 or S1000 is more than enough for the street

Reflash should net 240-250 rwhp which is insane for anything but the dragstrip

The H2 was never intended to be competition for bikes like the Panigale and S1000RR...that is what the ZX10 is for.

It is way too heavy and doesn't have the geometry.

From what I gather, the H2 (and H2R) were simply built "because we can". The H2 doesn't have the power-to-weight ratio to be able to compete with the "normal" Liter bikes that are pushing 190hp.

The H2R is illegal in every race class under the sun, with the exception of some drag racing classes.

There are many ways to go faster, and spend less money. The H2's were basically something done to test their technology and engineering capabilities, and to come out with something cool.

Right. Kawasaki didn't really make the H2 to compete with anything that's currently on the market. It's not a ZX-10R replacement or a ZX-14R replacement, it is in a class of its own a the moment. It's an engineering exercise that provides a riding experience that's unique.

The teaser of the H2 in a straight line race against that same 2015 1000rr that was posted originally... Can't wait to see the full video on the other pulls against the bikes. Let's see the 2015 R out there!!!

Also. I went 120 miles on my R and had someone else take my H2 today.. While I would agree to the best for riders is to keep it on the track, we were able to hit a country backroad to open run the bkes.. The H2 walked away from the R with no problem. While the H2 is FUN to ride on the street and straight line speed, it is definitely not a Ducati or track bike. They are both fun bikes but the H2 is just a fun novelty bike that is used for those fun weekend rides... Glad to be alive to enjoy all the recent updates and changes in the bike industry that make bike riding our passion!!!
