I was talking to a guy that raced a 1199 (back when they still used twins for racing) and I asked him what he thought about the close ratio gear box and what his experience with it was like. All he said was

“It’s a really tall first gear, and then all hell breaks loose”

Yeah Donna won't do you any good since the stock has been too much for you in the past not to mention the limited resources as well.

Hey I admit it. I had not rode anything since my wreck in 2012 where I lost my eye. Threw my leg over this thing, put it in race mode, got going about 70 in 3rd gear, nailed it and ran straight into the rev limiter lol. Who sets the high limiter at 11.5 when the light doesn’t come on til 11.25? Stupid up map. Gotta believe I’m not the only person that had that experience first time on a R?

And limited resources or not 1st and 2nd gear were a joke. And that was before the diet. 2nd needed to be where 3rd was now it’s gonna be
