OEM Document Wallet - lost a fight with the lawnmower

Hi guys,
I managed to totally shred my red plastic OEM wallet yesterday. It was on the table outside and the wind took it into my path and well - lawnmower 1 Wallet 0.

I called my local stealership who was about as much use as a fishnet condom (who would of thought eh!:mad:)

Looked on eBay and nothing doing, other than just revisiting eBay periodically anyone have any ideas where I can get hold of one ?

Luckily the manual and other paperwork were not in the red plastic wallet when mother nature intervened so thankful for small mercies.

I got a nice neat leather one with my R.

I'm away for work just now for a couple weeks, but it's something I know my dealer has kicking around, I've seen a couple there. If you don't have anything sorted by then I'll ask.....

are the manuals supposed to go in those?!

when I bought my R at the dealer, they handed the booklets and the DDA box to me in a plastic gallon size ziplock bag...no joke!
 
It depends on the dealer...
My bikes always came with the documents in some sort of briefcase.

When I was in the UK I got them for my 748/916s/848 and the Pani was no different. Shouldn't be a dealer by dealer situation surely?
 
The more free .... they give you the more they got to you on the price of bike :)

those are pretty cool; most likely not available to us here in the states, you'll have to let us know where we can find those please if they are available to the public. these two are all i have to keep a small amount of paperwork in my 2 bikes.

 
Yeah I didnt get anything like that. Just a random cardboard box with books, rear pegs and the ugly mudguards.


....thou I they did give me a leaking waterpump for free. Free stuff is free stuff right?
 
Would be a nice touch if the dealers in the US gave out something nice like this. I got nothing but a 5 cent envelope to store my docs in. Even the Suzuki and Honda dealers I've bought from had a nicer "envelope" than the Duc dealer.
