Does anyone know the wattage of HIDs on cars? I really just want my HIDS to look clean and have a factory look.....I understand there is 35, 55, and now 70 watts.....what is OEM on BMW, Mercedes, audi, etc vehicles nowadays? I understand some are full led now but the cars with HIDS....whats the oem wattage?

35w is plenty, you don't want to melt anything and it keeps the ballasts small.

Just for some info. I bought a digital HID set (55w) from Gotham Cycles for my 999S, but I ended up fitting them to my ISUZU SUV high beams and they are excellent and not killer bright. Definitely better than filament bulbs. So the interchangeability is out there and most definitely possible.

did you ask ducati about this? I did and they told me bad idea siince the ballast puts out a frequency from the current, could interfere with computer especially if using DTC, ABS and different ride modes.
