I just wanted to say thanks to everyone on here if you were one of the guys giving me advice on the Oil type, how much oil to use, filters, DOT brake fluid, bleeding the brake system etc etc. last night i changed all brake pads to EBC HH sintered pads, Motul 300v 15w-50 full synthetic oil, OEM ducati oil filter, new DOT 4 brake fluid, and bleed the whole brake system. everything went very well and the bike feels refreshed and crisp as ever. i used a page from this forum for each of those processes. big shout to ANTIHERO i believe it is? i think he may have posted all of the how to's i used lol. anyway thank you all for your knowledge and helpful assistance!

how do you like the ebc hh im about to change and with all the guys (anti hero) raving about these brakes i want to give them a shot and you cant go wrong with the price

also i know motul is great oil probably the best but amazon sells 6qt of castrol (weight of choice) for 46 bucks plus tax comes to 8 bucks a qt do you really feel motul is twice as good for more than twice the price? k and n now makes an oil filter for 12 bucks

not at all knocking your choices they are very good ones.

Was going with EBC last summer, but my dealer had SBS in stock, very affordable compared to OEM and at least as good.

Aren't the OEM pads rated sintered HH?

No problems with EBC HH - I've used them since forever - but curious as to why you'd change out the stock ones (unless you've already gone through the OEM set )

If both oils have the same ratings, and if your changing it every thousand miles, or after each track day the Castrol would be fine, the oil filters I will stick with the factory unit no matter the price, nothing against KN we race with their air filters. But I have seen oil filters do ...... things under high load high flow conditions, and Ducati has done their homework on that filter.

After 12k km OEM pads were gone.

Yep, I changed to EBC HH per Antihero's suggestions since at 6,700 miles I had very little pad left on the OEM set. Great feel and very sensitive to lever pressure with the EBC HH pads.

i love them. i bedded them in right and they really grab nicely. much better than OEM. brake dust seems to be less too! def happy with my choice.

they were pretty low after about 8k miles...lol so i decided to go ahead and replace them. they werent as low as i thought however. i could have gotten another 2k EASY being that i just ride on the street but better safe than sorry.
