its been a long time coming but i am leaving communist nyc for one of the remaining free states in the union. my job is relocating me to boca raton fl. problably buy something in delray beach area or boca we shall see, its happening so quick.

palm beach international raceway is 45 min away. what are the track days clubs in fl i wont really know anyone except leon but he is far away.

Congrats on getting out of NY. I couldn't do it. WERA and CCS is all I know of, so I think you'll end up having to do a bit of traveling. I rode to Daytona for bike week a few years back and was pretty unimpressed with the roads as a whole. The cage drivers suck but you'll be used to that. A buddy of mine owns a bike shop down there (not duc) but if you need something I can send you his way. What do they have you doing?

thank you, im in legal and complaince for the stock exchanges and member firms

sounds like a smart move to me. congrats!

despite the lack of mountains.

if you ever make it up to the carolinas for a ride, lemme know. i know "some" nice roads :D

as a current South Florida resident (i work in Boca) i wouldn't be so happy if i were you...

1. the roads are all straight and boring the only places you'll get to see curves is at palm beach raceway or homestead raceway and like others have said they are both about 1 away from where you will be.
2. heat and humidity and rain for 9 months out of the year thats all you'll get. have fun wearing full gear when its 95 degrees out and 90% humidity. yes you can ride year long But only 3 months out of the year riding is actually enjoyable.
3. cagers, old people and traffic. i tend to go our riding at night to avoid most of the traffic. commuting to work in a bike here is suicide.

on the plus side the ducati/euro community here is pretty cool and we go riding often and as much as weather allows.

i rarely ride my bikes in the street and i travel 1 hr and 45 min now to my closest track. pbir is 45 min away.

i wont be in boca ill be living in delray. ny in the summer is just as bad as fl just as much humidity. quality of life is better. 2nd amendment . no state or city taxes etc.

are you in ny do you have the app text and twitter alerts that let you know where all the checkpoints are in nyc. my phone goes off like crazy with these motorcycle only checkpoints.

Checkpoints sounds horrid, picking on bikers I'd be out of there too.
I took a group off Multistrada.net to Yorkshirefor a weekend. The Police set up a checkpoint I was at the front , officer stopped us and asked me to go over to where his colleagues were checking bikers and bikes. I told my group to ignore and off I shot up some back lanes I knew. Luckily we never saw them agdin
