Hi desmofriends, I have a 1299S 2017, bike whit just 1.6K miles, and sometimes it happens run (in any driving mode) the abs light turn on, and it is disabling it, like a bad contact, and then back to normal, but it is happening frequently!!

The bike is new, I have taken it on Ducati many times and there is no error on the bike, a Ducati mechanic friend, told me was corrupted software, on Ducati dealer here, I uninstalled and re-installed the updated version, and nothing, the problem continues.

All the terminals were checked, everything was clean and with the correct eletric tensions, I really don't know what else to do, help me guys, please.

Thank u very much,
Claudio

I've been having a similar issue I tried measuring the gap at the abs pick up at each wheel should be near 1.4mm or so I copied the service manual and pasting it below, good luck

Adjusting the AIR-GAP of phonic wheel sensor

(For front as well as rear sensor) In each case of maintenance that foresees:

- replacing or refitting the wheel;

- replacing or refitting phonic wheel (5) or (6);

- replacing or refitting the brake discs;

- replacing or refitting the speed sensor (1) or (2);

- (front) replacing or refitting the sensor holder bracket;

- (rear) replacing or refitting of the calliper holder plate.

It is necessary to check the air-gap between the speed sensor and the phonic wheel, once the components are

refitted.

There must be a gap between ABS sensor (D) and phonic wheel (E) of 1.3 mm to 1.9 mm. To check it, use two

feeler gauges (F)

of 1.3 mm and 1.9 mm. If the Airgap is correct, the 1.3 mm feeler gauge must not pass.

Note

Perform the test in three points of the phonic wheel, at a distance of 120° one from the other.

THank u very much, Jed.

I had a positive outcome after I carefully bleed the abs unit using the banjo bolts as bleeders per se
