Yeah...Hes not going to be setting any lap records....But its great to see....
 
Couldn't help but notice that he was going 299 km/h at less than 10,500 rpm. Seems like tall gearing for racing. I wonder why they had it that way.

Because there are a lot of multi-mile straights on the IOM (google "Sulby IOM").

There is some low(er) speed corners. But a lot of the course consists of tight corners connecting long, flat out straights with trap speeds regularly in excess of 200+ mph.

Cos you need to be able to do 200mph to lap that circuit competitively...

Pity I was expecting to see the panigale jumps :)

agreed......Guy didn't disappear at all so more than respectable enough! The tyco GSXR team are experienced as well...
