I would like some feedback on the Pani comfort seat. Is it more comfortable and does it reduced the forward tilt? Thanks

the foam is better than stock....i didn't find it comfortable due to it being taller which increased the pressure on the bars and felt like you sat on the baike rather than in...

i have since had the seat shaped and height back to std and it is now what i'd consider a "comfort seat"

take into account i'm 5'7"

I have used this seat since purchasing the bike in 2013.

I am 6'1", and this made the bike so much more comfortable to ride. And yes. The seat is raised closer to the front. So, it does have less of a forward angle when compared to the standard seat.

The seat is also made out of a grippy material. So less sliding forward under heavy breaking.

I like the seat for the softer ride but don't like the added height that comes with it. Changes the ride position too much for me.

I've always felt that faster bikes had me "on them", not "in them". Moving weight up effects lean angle a bit. And we're all too often cranking up the rear ride ht.

That being said, the comfort seat is a step up. I want to try the Race seat next. The extra height was great for a little more leg room.

Don't forget to grab some Stompgrips.

I'm with Lee on this one, changed the ride position too much for me, also there is quite a deep well where the screw is at the front of the seat, both myself and a one of my mates had a case of crushed nuts with spirited riding, very hard to see through the corners with tears welling in the eyes.

Cheers
JT

I hated the height of the race seat which is close to the comfy.

I think the best upgrade is a bit more foal/gel with a new cover that has more grip.

Material on the race or comfy is fine. Height was the deal killer, it makes a dramatic change for your feel of the bike.

The comfort seat suits me perfectly on both road and track.

The stock R seat was ok but uncomfortable on long rides. I replaced it with the comfort seat pretty early on and have been very happy with it--500 mile rides or all day at the track have been no problem.

I'm 5'10".

I took the bike with a standard seat and had a sore arse and knees after about 5 minutes.

I've had two partial knee replacements so I really needed a little extra leg room of I could .

Bought the bike and one of the options on it from the get go was the Comfort seat and I wouldn't be without it.

It offers great support and grip and it enables my legs to be a little more relaxed.

I'm 6ft 1 and I would highly recommend the seat unless you are height disadvantaged ;)

At 6 ft, I got the comfort seat when I bought my Pani because, well, my butt hurt. But I didn't like the extra height and so after about 6 months I switched back to the stock seat. By that time my butt had gotten used to the seat and I found I enjoyed the stock seat better. Better sitting position per the riding geometry and I preferred the shorter distance between top of seat and rear sets. Easier to move around on.
If Anyone is thinking about a comfort seat, I have one for sale I'll let go relatively cheaply.

If the comfy seat and race seat are about the same height, does that mean the comfy seat compresses more than the race seat? I'm curious if the comfy seat becomes lower when you are sitting on it.

When I first picked up my bike I made the mistake of taking a ~3 hour(each way) trip to visit a friend out of state.

That had to have been the most painful/uncomfortable riding experience I've ever had.

The next day I ordered the comfort seat and have been fine since. I've done a few 500+ mile weekends without issue.

I do feel higher on the bike, but the trade-off was worth it. 5'11" btw.

Yes ,it made all the difference, my first long ride on my bike between that POS stock seat, harsh suspension, and hair trigger throttle, I was feeling like I had made a mistake buying an 1199. The DP comfort seat is a must.

After coming from which bike? So far, my short experience of the panigale is that its a sofa compared to the 1098. I'm commuting on it as easily as I did on my multistrada.

same here coming from a tuono...

i was expecting kickass bottom punch of a 1198...

but in the long run i am very happy

I bought my bike secondhand with the comfort seat already fitted.
The position just didn't seem right for me - I felt that I was sitting on top rather than in the bike.
Luckily the stock seat came with the deal so I swapped them over and I feel like I am part of the bike again.
Reading through the comments it seems that it suits some but not others.
I'm 6' tall but with the comfort seat on I was on tip toes when stopped which is something that i'd never come across before and didn't particularly like either.

If you like the stock seat (height) but prefer the grip of the comfort wth a little bit of padding, the 899 seat is your best bet.

I've used all 3 seats and is perfect for my 5 10 frame.
