Just bought a damaged 1199 ABS for the track after 9 years of racing the grandmother of all ducati's the 888.
As I dislike the front look of the 1199 I decided to fix a desmosedici on the front with a corsa sedici windscreen. Interested? See my project here:

This will be interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished result as well.

Hope you make a plug of it, it's nice to stand out in the crowd with your own flair and individuality.

Im sure it will come out cool. But now it weighs as much as an R1 :D

We'll as fervent 888 driver I first considered the 888 look but that was fairly undoable The air inlets are to small and wrongly positioned with such kind of air intakes. Putting the inlets somewhere else would destroy the 888 look anyway. Also the bottom of the tophalf would be a problem in relation to the frontwheel.

So the next best thing was the 1000RR. Even better air inlet than the 1199 to my opinion. Right on the pressure point of the fairing. But I mainly like a nice round bulky appearance on the Ducati. But that is all personal of course.
And i just like to fiddle with the stuff in stead of racing a standard bike. With all those thousands of Ducs in Holland an out of the ordinary Ducati always attracts especially at the Dutch Ducati Clubraces at Assen MotoGP circuit in May. Actually the next biggest event for Ducati after the WDW in Italy. Four days of Ducati racing with hundreds of competitors from all over the world.

Also gives a lot of interesting conversations with various people on the paddock which is half the fun of amature racing. Well hell it's just all for fun....

And yes this is at the moment the master fairing. After finishing I will make a mould and make a polyester and carbon copy. (Always comes in handy when racing).

Well and what about this one? I had my own rear sets (20 sets) made and put on my bike the rest goes up for sale in Holland. €199,-/set. Not a bad deal for me and the potential buyers. Some even thought they were to cheap so couldn't be good. Haha, it is a strange world out there. People just want to be fooled, but hey everybody in the trading business already knew that....

So are you offering these rearsets to forum members???

I would be interested to know this as well. Additionally, what material are they made of and do they work with quick shift?

These are for sale indeed as i had the manufacturer made me a number of these sets. I also sell them through ebay as well as my own homebuild webshop. But shipping outside europe is rather expensive to my opinion. So i specialize mainly on the west european market and Holland in particular where we have a fairly large and competitive Ducati market. Biggest ducati club in the world with over 5000 members and several specific Ducati race competition classes.

As i race myself (888, 999 and 1199) i use all the stuff that is made for me myself so i go for good quality in the first place. Wouldn't wanna crash because of faulty material.

When i found out that most race aftermarket stuff is sold with 400 to 500% provit margins that really lowered my pants as we say in Holland. Now that is where i come in the business with only a profit margin around 25 to 100%, depending the article.

I don't have to live of the business (I'm an airline pilot with a bachelor technical engineer degree) and make enough profit so i can race 10 races a year and buy 6 tires and do a little maintenance. Which i do myself anyway. I'm not a professional seller although it might look like it. My customers are both fellow racers and street riders who i meet a lot on the circuits. Because people can see the articles on the spot that is my best advertising. And i keep it stupid simple. Not satisfied? Return the item without problem. Not bullshitting around with guarantee this or that. I sell what i believe in and that has worked for the last 6 years very well.

As I like to fiddle around with all kind of stuff, I made a website when I started racing 9 years ago and one thing let to another so after i started selling more frequently i designed a little webshop which saved me from emailing back and forth all the time. That really kills creativity....
That webshop is also hooked up to my website in the menubar.

I really like to make and create all kind of things so on my website you'll find a lot of do it your self stuff. One of the advantages of being a pilot is having lots of time and money to do all these things.

Now the panigale is my latest asset (after i sold the 888 and 999 (in an 888 frame) and making the panidici fairing is my 2013 winter project. HqRacing Intro (sorry the site is dutch but with a lot of pictures and some homemade movies another fun thing to do....).

Can't wait to receive my set of these rearsets. Thanks again for the awesome price as well as the tracking number. Will post up a review once I get them installed. That may not be for a little while. We'll see how long I can go just staring at them before I get the itch to put it on.

Well it took me an hour. But I had to figure out what bolt went where. I made a rough description how to fit the parts and i'm working on a picture and a video so you can see it in more detail. But to my humble opinion it's quite self explanatory.
I'll look forward to the review for future improvements or modification suggestions.

Are you going to make a mold of the fairing and offer the pandici fairings for sale?

Yep, I will be working on making the mold by the end of december 2013. The mother part is now at the painter who will put a layer of clear varnish on the mother fairing before I can start waxing the fairing before the mold making.
In the mean time I'm working on the carbon air inlet and fairing support bracket.
