Would be grateful if someone that has actually purchased Ducati Part # 96480891A confirm what what was included? Some say a Y pipe that deletes the flapper, others say only the Cans and the flapper is disabled via the upmap.

Reason I ask is I would like to determine if the Akra Cans for the 1299 Evo system would mount to my R sans any addidtional piping.

I don't think you can mix Evo full system parts with OEM parts. At least in 1299s stock piping and Evo you cant. And it is my assumption that R OEM exhaust has same headers as 1299/s, so only mixing full system with cans won't work.

My comes ( panigale R) up-map, db-killers and y-pipe without flapper.. cant remember part number. ( I guess, cans are same, but Y-pipe maybe not)

Appreciate the responses fellas!
So a new Y pipe IS included with the package and the EVO cans are most likely not a direct bolt-on to the stock R pipes.

I have put the "entire" Panigale R Akrapovic system on my 1299s with zero fitment issues. The flapper stays (the R has it's own) and the system worked well.

I currently have the whole unit for sale as I went with a full Vandemon system

I bought this set up for my 2015 R and it does come with a Y pipe, (also comes with upmap and db killers). The stock flapper valve is eliminated and replaced by the included Y pipe which ties into stock piping.

So to answer your question, it depends on how the cans on the evo system tie in to the pipes. I found images of the included Y pipe and cans online so if you can compare that to the evo system it might help. (I'll try to upload the image I found.)

Confirmed. Installed my R Akra Cans today. Package includes a new Y pipe that deletes the flapper and an Upmap. The photo above is accurate.

Headers from the R and the S are not the same diameter.
