Is there any difference between the 2015,2016 and 2017 Panigale R like in terms of engine or electronic updates kinda like the 1299s got the upgraded ecu that gave you slide control that Superleggera has for 2017? if not, is it possible to update ecu on the Panigale R?

Were you the buyer of the 16R that was on cycletrader in houston? It was listed for $22,500 or so, but I get the feeling it might have gone for around $20,000.

No I still haven't reached out to any sellers yet I'm just browsing and looking for best deal posible. Saw a 15R with 700 miles for 24.9k but idk about that.

I just picked one up last week. I found a 2015 new left over for $24,999.

What do you like the most from Panigale R how’s it compare to 1299 R FE?

Yes brand new :)
I was on a 959, did two seasons with it and tracked it A LOT 23 days, 19 this season.

I found it in Ohio, left Vermont Friday night last week and drove till 3:30 in the morning, got up at 5 and drove again till I arrived at 11. Think I was excited?

I have not ridden the bike yet, It is almost identical to the 1299rFE, so I would imagine it is very similar. Chasis, suspension are the same. Power delivery is different I am sure. Both bikes are insane I am sure.

The FE has seen a hand full of track sessions and 900 miles on the street. The bike is amazing, both bikes are sitting in my livingroom for the winter as we are expecting up to a foot of snow here in Vermont this weekend. :D:D:D

Riding the Creme de la Creme of Panigales, and on the track that's awesome... sucks the weather not letting us ride please do let me know when you do and final thoughts on both bike. I love the looks of 1299 R FE.

Yes sir, some people give me a hard time about running the FE on the track. I must say I grinned from ear to ear and may have giggled like a little kid 90% of the ride.

I am racing this coming year and wanted a bike that will carry me beyond my novice year. I started looking into what it would cost to make the 959 competitive in the 1000cc or unlimited class, it was 12k+. I said hell I can get a R for same price as the cost of my bike and the cost to mod it and I will still be at a disadvantage.

I sure will let you know how this boss runs at the track, I am guessing nothing short of smiles for miles

Who cares what people say! If you know how to ride and able to ride that beast DO IT! Lol bad ...! Yee that's one I'd reasons I want to get a bigger Panigale I love my 959 but extra power would be great!

If I could have all three I would.
I was very comfortable on the 959 and could ring its neck out of corners.
I have the feeling that I will not have the same comfort feeling on the R.

You got to be a little more precise with throttle my friend let me ride he's 14 Panigale R on some curvy roads and I ended drifting the bike and the 2nd curve obviously spirited riding, but we all used to bikes so nothing happen, got a mad slide and got it to stick again, this was one Supercorsas SC2 haha so Panigale torque is no joke.
