Hiya. I was the second owner of this full system, and I think it's "worn out." Namely, the connections at the mid pipe don't hold very well, and while at the track last week, they started to separate. I tried some pipe clamps, which didn't work, and ultimately used some safety wire, which at least held it together for the rest of the day.
The springs are for sure worn out, and need to be replaced, which is indeed part of the problem. But, I / we think the connections points have worn, so I'm not 100% confident that replacing the springs will fix it. You can see the worn spot on the one connection piece, and some deformation on some of the ends. This goes on a race bike, so I need it bombproof, so I can't have the chance that it separates, again.
It may be as simple as new springs, but it may require some welding, or some very strong safety wire work, on the mid pipes. I'm not really sure. On a street bike, it may be fine with safety wire.
Also a few small-ish dents and dings.
