1. find the box with the owners manual
(alternative use google: 1199 owners manual - download)
2. look up "rear seat"
3. read until you find "removal" and comprehend
4. go to your motorcycle with key in your hand
5. put key in lock unter tail section and turn, whatever direction works
6. wait until you hear a click from the rear cover.
7. pull cover towards tank
8. insert rear seat
9. push until it clicks
10. thank me
