People,
A good person on the forum brought to my attention that I have posted some ....-ish remarks. I have to agree, after reading them myself, that maybe in trying to be witty I was a little quick with the ...... comment. I hopefully have since communicated positively with that person and felt that I should make an open apology as my comments were open and that seems right. No names as that person know who he is.
I didn't mean to offend you. Obviously I have and I apologize for that. In regards to the R1M. I also am a fan of that bike. I think I was just strong in making my thoughts know, obviously not clear though.
My point was I personally was thinking about dumping my R and buying an R1M as a friend owns a dealership and had 3 R1Ms coming in. I really thought about it and thought how it would be awesome to have the "best bike out" and finally something "easy to go fast on". I then realized for myself after really looking at the money and my lap times over the years on different bikes, that is wasn't worth it.
How I also came to this was especially recent as this year I entered a honda hornet cup series. Probably the shittiest bike I have ever owned...lol. After 4 races, I dropped my lap times on my Pani by 4 seconds....Wow right? All the preconceived notions I had about a "better" bike went away, and I probably saved a chunk of change not switching brands.
Also from my reading, Take it for what its worth, the Ducati dealerships seem better for service and the overall owner's experience than anything else out there. For all the bitching we all do on this forum Ducati does get it right 90% of the time. So maybe I should of posted this as a response instead of a wise ... comment along with misdirected criticisms.
Cheers.
