I was thinking..........
If it were possible and we all on this forum could get together for a weekend of riding and bullshiting, do you think we would kill each other or would all the testosterone be toned down.
AND
Do you think people are so flip on this forum because their not face to face?:rolleyes:

i dont think i know when im being "flip" and not.....
 
humans communicate more with facial expressions, tone, and body language than with words in "real life." all of those things are missing when communicating on a forum. there is a TON of miscommunication as a result. completely normal and totally expected, imo.....

in person people get a feel almost immediately for their conversation and the participants and it goes accordingly. I have a feeling everyone would get along great in person and have much more in common than the forum allows us to realize.
 
I think we'd all kill each other after talking about how hot our wives are! ;)

I think it's a great question.

I've learned that if I come up on a group of ten "crotch rockets" on the back roads that one would be the alpha dog and would be a fast rider with reasonably good skills. Two or three more would be decent riders who at least wouldn't create problems. The eighth rider would be slow but easy to predict. The tenth rider would be the guy who obviously doesn't know that you go where you look and he's afraid to lean the bike over.

Sitting around a table talking bikes would be about the same mix of talent.

yikes i was just sitting with a bunch of duc owners around a table....i wonder who was which....
 
I think all the Ape and S1000rr owners would be killed and the Duc owners would have a nice, warm group hug after that.

Seriously, face to face would be much more civilized. That is the same for all forums, not only this one.

Yea, people that normally would just raise their voice a bit in person, just say f this and f that on a forum :)
