Just went to order another set of tyres for the pani and apparently they only make them in a 200/60 17 instead of the 55 now. Anyone tried the new size and notice any difference?

There is nothing new about the size. The Pirelli slicks only come in 200/60 for the rear. No issues.

Yes there is a big difference in height of that tire.
The SC2 200/60 slick is right at 1 inch larger in circumference than the SP stock 200/55, and that slick grows a lot more as speed increases, which will throw off your overall gear ratio.
I run 15/42 gear ratio, and it doesn't quite get the bike back to the stock ratio with the stock tires, but it helps. A 43 rear gear probably would be perfect with the SC2 slick, but that will have to wait till next year.
But, they are great tires, I run them over everything else.
Good Luck
I run 26lbs hot (175 degrees F) on the SC2,
Approximately 19lbs cold before tire warmers,

I have done the same we run in a Pirelli series and have had no issues . I tend to use a SC2 and SC0 on the rear in the slick .

Wilkson, have you used the SC1/2 on the rear? Major change between the 1 & 2 vs the sc0? I would guess tire life of the SC0 is a few laps at best.

The SC0 has a stiffer wall so can run it at a lower pressure . I use this usually as a qualifier but when the track is hot the wear is OK no good for a cool track .
I have never really liked the SC1 .

gotcha. I've used the 1 and 2. The 2 last longer, but I've set my fastest lap time at my home track on the 1s.
