Power Commander?

When I pulled the seat off my 1299, I was surprised to find a Power Commander lurking underneath. The bike has a full Akra exhaust with the Evo Race ECU map. Is the Power Commander really doing anything useful for the bike?
 
I would be terrified to find a Rapid Bike mounted on one of these bikes. Discovering a Power Commander that's absolute horror.....

Runs fine, as far as I can tell. I was under the impression that piggyback modules like the Power Commander weren't so useful on modern bikes because of how little input they receive compared to the ECU.

If it runs OK leave it, I have a piggyback (rapidbike) on mine and have had it on three Pani's so far. I've never had a PC so can't comment.
