Was looking online and I saw that the PowerCommander V + autotune feature is available for the 1199. This may have been out for a while now, but haven't seen anything on the forums about this product. Anyone got anything on this??

I just got my 1199 and I'm going with the Bazzaz Z-Fi with custom mapping for my Termi slips. The debate rages over PCV vs. Bazzaz but my experience with Bazzaz has been stellar. I had a full Z-Fi TC + QS on my Crossplane R1 and it was the business. Programmable everything, from TC threshold and cut at % throttle for each gear, plus tunable QS ignition cuts.

The Autotune is supposedly the best option (Bazzaz's is called the Z-AFM) if you don't have access to an experienced, reputable tuner. IMO, nothing beats a very good tuner with a custom map. I don't think you can go wrong with either system, but the Bazzaz Z-Fi for Pani is only $315 through my dealer (even less through ridersdiscount) and he is charging me 4 hours for installation and custom tune.

Cool, make sure you report back with the results. Sounds like it would be the best piggyback option to go with.

I'll be curious to see what the maps look like. I'd say that the Panigale is probably set up very rich - and the question is whether or not that is for self preservation of the engine. My Ninja 1000 was quite rich too. Taking it down to a leaner A/F especially at part throttle and cruise RPM's picked up my gas mileage between 10-15% on the Ninja. Given how high strung and highly tuned the Panigale is I'd want to learn a lot about what A/F ratio is safe for the bike.

I have auto tune on my Ninja. The trick is figuring out what A/F ratio to set. Everyone likes to quote 13.0/1, but I've never seen any information from a true engine builder - just people on forums. I have talked to Dyno Jet technicians for advice and they are very helpful btw.

Will do. I just picked up my Pani yesterday and only have 30 miles. At the 1,000 km service I'm going to get my Termi slip and the Bazzaz Z-Fi installed and custom tune done by Sebastian Didato at Melillimoto in Ocala, FL. He builds race engines for 848s and his shop is the only Ducati-only dealer in the country, if I'm not mistaken.

He has an upgraded Dynojet 250i Dyno and says that Z-Fi's work wonders on Diavel's. I'll try to get a base run and then the Termi's with custom run and post them up here for opinion and analysis.

whether or not my 1199 Pani would benefit from a PCV and AT i'm uncertain of (it runs pretty good with the Termi slip-ons and ecu), but they made my BMW GS with full exhaust run like no other bike i've owned. so, so smooth. of course, one of the area's best tuners probably had something to do with it too. ;)

may explore this route.

Yep, I got a hold of my ZFI as soon as it hit the market. Installed myself. Noticed with the map they sent it ran super rich. It was a bit smoother during certain RPMs and hauled when you got on it. But noticed when cruising in 5-6 gear and came down into the 4k RPMs it would just fall on its face hard. Also noticed my fuel light went from 100mi to 70mi!

Have it bypassed with the stock map for now till I have time to get a custom tune...

I had the autotuner on my ZX-10r for about two months and then got it on the dyno to see what it did. unfortunately, the autotuner really screwed up the smoothness so I ditched it and got a professional tune......Night and Day Difference!!

Good morning everyone!
I need help, I installed the Power Commander V at 1199 S already with Racing map Ducati and I can not hit the map, any numeral place and when I reduce and accelerate the message, ENGINE on the panel, only when I leave the map all zero , this message does not appear on the panel.
Did any of the members have or could send me a map for me ??
Or guide me how to program the map?
I thank you all.
