Hello ladies and gents of the forum,
Thank you very much for having me. At the moment, I'm an orange traitor - having two KTM SuperDuke 1290R in the house. The dear wife and I both have one. She has two other bikes and I only ride the one. She's been telling me to pull the trigger on a 1299, but I've been attempting to be the wise one and have been procrastinating on it.
We do about 15 track days a year, and I'm a Group A rider. With a naked bike, there's just so much one can do - especially on the straights, where anything with a fairing will torch me above 130. I have to make up my time in corner speed, late braking, or no braking at all!
We live in Barcelona, Spain, and this is one big point of contention. Buying anything here that is worth something, is an affront to the poverty and people who live here. What that means is that one needs a garage, and one needs to have nerves of steel to not worry about what people do (and think) of your bike.
(But all of this is a whole different conversation for another place).
Just trying to convince myself of buying a WANT, not a NEED.
Here's hoping you all keep the rubber side down!
