Hi!

I have a question about my rear brake.
When the pedal is pressed the first 5mm or so nothing happens.
When beyond 5 mm you can hear and feel the rod hitting the master cylinder and the brake engages.
It seems that the pedal is not directly connected to the master cylinder, there is a gap.
Can someone please check if this is the same on their bike?

Thanks!

Adjust the lever so it’s where you want it then adjust the push rod

If it’s not still not long enough make a longer one

DO NOT remove all of the slack. Always leave a small amount. If you don’t leave a small amount, you risk the brake coming on by itself and staying on as things heat up. This can result in a thermal runaway with the disk glowing red, the pad backing plate bent and the calliper ruined.
