Question about Rizoma rear axle slider 1199

Looking for some insite guys. I purchased recently a 1199, it has the Rizoma rear axle slider but I never received the Rizoma tool. I've looked a bit online and looked for some PDF directions.

I'm not sure how this attaches, can someone help shed some light on this for me? Does this replace the factory net setup or is just a cover?

Slides through the axle and the other end screws on and you tighten it with the tool.

In a pinch, you can use a pair of needle nose pliers - I did once when I couldn’t find my tool
