I’ve ordered the full race fairings kit from Ducati:

The dealer tells me that I also need this part:

I think that‘s incorrect and I don’t need any lower fairing parts. IF I needed a different lower fairing then surely it would be this:

They’ve quite often got things wrong about parts so I’d like to check whether they are correct about this.

They also told me that I need a different rear mudguard for the low-exit Akrapovic but I’m sure it’s not needed…

On the 22+ bikes using the Akra exhaust, instead of replacing the entire lower fairings you just replace the black plastic section. So you would need the item in your first link *if* the race fairings don’t come with it.

The black one-piece belly pan exists to satisfy race and some track rules which require one-piece belly pans to contain fluids should the engine let go.

You don’t need the mudguard per se, the original has a cutout which is necessary for the OEM exhaust.

It would look weird without the lower fairing because the OEM exhaust isn't there.

Either one of those you linked will work but the full one piece will require some modification to fit around the low exhaust... it has a cutout mark where that needs to be done.

Rear mudguard doesn't need to be changed. The one designed for the Akra covers more of the rear tire.

Thanks guys.

@RickD996 - I always want to be sure for myself and I have had to correct the dealer a couple of times on parts previously.

So if I understand it correctly that smaller lower fairing part (https://www.ducati.com/ww/en/accessories/ACC012276) clips into the gap at the bottom left of the lower panel in the picture - it doesn’t replace any part of the lower fairing panel in the kit but instead clips onto it in that gap.

Have I got it right now?

That's right.

But the one piece lower does replace the whole lower fairing.

Tge bottom Ducati belly pan is bloody expensive for fibreglass… I’d get a carbon one from for example ilmberger

It’s about £120. I looked at the Ilmberger parts and it was 4 or 5 times as much.

nah we are getting crossed wires..... the fibreglass crap from Ducati this

Have the Ducati lower on order since September for my ‘23, rumor is still months out.

Also note if you use the track fairings above and use Ducati’s adj rear sets you may need to trim the bodywork to not pinch the shiftrod.

Do you mean the one I’m getting (smaller) or the one Andy mentioned?

I’ve got Rizoma rearsets on mine, race shift. It doesn’t seem to touch the standard bodywork but I’ll keep an eye on that thanks.

Probably a little different, '23 with the under tail exhaust, only pic I have of the pre-cut but when in the lower position the bodywork would squeeze between the shifter and and shift rod. The yellow line is where we dremeled the bodywork, right behind the last screw.
