Hello. I just picked up my 2015 Ducati 1299 Panigale S yesterday. Bought it from Sebastian at Melillimoto in Ocala. It was a very nice experience.

I went ahead and had the full AKRO system put on, MWR air filter and Rapid Bike re-map module.

I've looked high and low and I can't find anyone making 1299 race bodywork yet. Woodcraft doesn't have it yet. Sharkskinz doesn't have it yet, etc. If it's not one off, I wonder who makes the race bodywork for Chaz Davies and the boys on the Aruba.it team. Any ideas? Anyone know where I can get some 1299 race bodywork without having to modify 1199 bodywork. Thank you.

Ducati did one immediately for the 1199, have they a listing for the 1299 yet?

How does it perform compared to the 1199?

I'm going to swap head faring stay and subframe with some 1199 parts I have lying around, and just run my 1199 track bodywork. I'll post if anything doesn't work.

Hey there bud, it's Leon. If you still want my oem fairing stay, then you can use Sharkskinz (or any other) aftermarket race fairings. It may take a bit for 1299 race fairings to be produced.

I can't help you right now, but I have worked with Eric (WC/Armor Bodies) in the past in situations like this. If they don't have anything by the time I get my 1299, I will help them develop bodywork for it.

Will keep yall in the loop.

I'm also anxiously awaiting the arrival of the new style race bodywork. Hopefully from Armor Bodies.

Sorta related, are there any changes to the rear subframe on the 1299 or will the old style tailpieces mount right to the new subframe?

I went out and rode the 1299S today. Wow!! I currently race a CBR1000RR w/ roughly 190 rwhp on VP fuel (fully built motor ). Compared to my CBR, with 85 lb. ft. of torque, the 1299 pulls like an ox on steroids (I'm 215 pounds) and has the top end of my CBR, or maybe more. This was only on back roads so I don't have lap times yet but my seat of the pants says it flys. I think the Akro system, the air filter and the mapping module help. Loud? OMG! This thing sounds like the Gator Nationals. Borge at Jennings GP is going to come unglued when he hears this thing, and not in a good way. But, it sounds absolutely awesome.:D

I dig the Brembo levers and the Ducati grips. The pegs grip your soles very nicely. Some heat to the right butt cheek but it wasn't that bad. The rider triangle is very nice and the seat is comfortable. My left hand never started going numb like it does on rides up in the mountains on my old ZX-10R.

This is my first Ducati and all I can say is WOW!!!!

Somebody get us some race body work! (Leon that's really nice of you to offer but I want Eric Wood to make us some Armour Body that will fit the 1299.)

If you are goin to wait, look at Sharkskinz as well. Some of the best race bodywork on the market.

Hello...was curious if anyone has heard any updates on race bodywork?

(I'm assuming no...would expect someone would've mentioned it already but thought I'd ask just to be sure.)

spoke to sharkskinz last weel, they have not done anything for the 1299, will be a while,
checked with my Ducati shop for DP fairing, still to update

Here you go, i am waiting myself, i ask them for pictures and prices will let you know

"From Motoxpricambi :Good morning,

by the first week of August the fairings for the new 1299 Panigale for street use and racing will be ready in Carbon, then they will be ready in fibreglass."

I spoke to Sharkskinz and what they were willing to offer wasn't worth sacrificing my OEM bodywork. Im sure they will develop some, but it won't be off my bike.

Seems quite short sighted of them. First decent sets out there will make quite a killing in the market I'm sure.

Okay, I got to ask.... why won't the 1199 stuff fit? I know there is some style changes btw the two and the upper support is different, but can't the 1199 stuff be adapted?

i have armor bodies on my 1199 what will i need to switch over to the new R as i don't fancy buying new bodywork.

Ditto

Having never even sat on a 1299 yet I have also been asking myself this same question on why the 1199 Skinz won't work on it? Despite Wilksons lengthy response ;)
I'm wondering exactly what needs to be tweaked on the 1199 Skinz to make it fit the 1299? I mean is it some serious rigging one has to do or what? I'm sure SOMEONE has lived on the edge enough to have tried it right?

Do tell guys?

(Not that I'm even personally interested for that would involve selling a 2012 Tricolore with only 1200 miles on it- before buying whatever 1299 is the best model?) Lmfao. ;)

For race bodywork, is the tail section the same on the pre 2015 1199's as the 2015 1299?

I figured I'd start getting the necessary pieces together..

Thanks
